If you are looking for an experienced piano teacher in Chelsea you have arrived at the right place.
I have 10 years’ experience of teaching piano to adults and children, in 1:1 and group sessions in and around Chelsea and West London.
I tailor my lessons to the interests of my students, while at the same time encouraging them to develop their weaknesses as well as their strengths. For example, I have students who are mainly interested in learning to play the piano because they would like to accompany themselves when singing, or for composing their own songs.
Classical Piano Lessons in Chelsea
A typical classical piano lesson might include time spent looking at technique, music theory and harmony, rhythm and sight-reading skills. For those wishing to go through the ABRSM grade system, I am experienced in preparing students for these exams. During the lesson I often recommend books and resources to work from for practicing at home.
Jazz Piano Lessons in Chelsea
I help students of all ages develop their jazz improvisational skills and their enthusiasm for jazz in general. Sometimes in a lesson we might work on piano chords and songs that are in the charts – I can also provide sheet music for students wishing to learn specific songs.
Children’s Piano Lessons in Chelsea
I find teaching the piano to children extremely rewarding as you see them grow in confidence and enthusiasm.
I believe you are never too young to start making music and as soon as your child is ready to focus for 30-minutes they are ready to begin private piano lessons.
I am aware that many people feel daunted by the prospect of learning an instrument, particularly if they have little or no musical experience. As a teacher I am sensitive to the individual needs of each student, and my lessons are appropriately challenging as well as enjoyable and rewarding.
My fees are extremely competitive:
Lessons can be taught either at the Arts Educational Schools in Chiswick or at your home. The prices range between £30 - £45 depending on the session.
